PRP Platelet-rich plasma
PRP (platelet rich plasma) contains proteins and growth factors that stimulate greater activity of the hair follicles. The procedure consists in the injection of areas affected by hair loss. The growth factors released from the platelets induce stem cells of the hair follicles to change from the dormant state to the active state, which in turn translates into stimulation of hair regrowth. The new hair is stronger and visibly thicker; however, the final results have to wait – the regrowth process lasts about 3 months. Immediately after the procedure, the patient may feel an increased tension of the scalp at the injection site. It is related to the gradual release of growth factors from the plates and their intensive impact on tissues. Plasma treatment can be used in people who have not completely destroyed the hair follicles – otherwise it will not work.
COURSE OF THERAPY:
3 treatments at 2-month intervals (this applies to services using PRP with standard platelet concentration).
