Autological cell transplantation, Regenera Activa, is a specially designed system using autological cell transplant with a series of application in regenerative medicine. During a single session, when a patient is at the same time a donor and recipient of an autological transplant, we are able to stimulate the transplant area with progenitor cells and growth factors sourced from the donor areas.
What does the procedure look like? The procedure usually takes 20-30 minutes. First the physicians will source a small skin fragment (one to three biopsies with a diameter of 2.5 mm) from the hairline on your neck. This is the area the least prone to androgenic hair loss. Taking such a small skin fragment allows for spontaneous healing of the transplant donor area. The physician will anesthetize the biopsy area with lidocaine. In the subsequent phase the physician will isolate progenitor cells, stem cells and growth factors with regenerative properties from the sourced tissue with the use of a special device. Such a suspension will the injected in your scalp, in the vicinity of your follicles, to initiate regeneration processes.
The Regenera Activa procedure may be repeated after 2-3 years to prevent further hair loss in androgenic balding.
