Laser photorejuvenation is one of the safest and least invasive methods of skin rejuvenation.
This treatment is especially recommended for people who want to slow down the aging process of the skin and for those who have problems with vascular changes, rosacea, enlarged pores, erythema or sun discoloration. The great advantage of this method is the fact that it can be performed on any part of the body.
Photorejuvenation – what is it?
Photorejuvenation proceeds quite quickly. Depending on the area of the body on which the treatment is performed, it usually takes about 5 – 30 minutes. During irradiation, the patient feels a gentle warmth, sometimes a slight burning sensation of the skin. During the treatment, the skin is irradiated with low energy density laser light that penetrates deep into the skin. Photorejuvenation warms the skin and stimulates its reconstruction. The laser light used for the treatment renews the skin tissues and stimulates them to produce new collagen fibres. This method allows you to narrow the pores, reduce wrinkles and smooth, brighten and firm the skin. After a few or several days after the procedure, vascular changes, discolorations and age spots are removed.
Photorejuvenation – for whom?
The main indications for the procedure are:
- reduced skin firmness
- wrinkles and furrows
- drooping face oval
- skin laxity
- sun discoloration (including freckles)
- enlarged pores
- scars, also post acne
- cracked, visible capillaries, the so-called “spiders”
- bags and shadows under the eyes
- drooping eyelid
Recommendations before the procedure
Do not consume alcohol 24 hours before photorejuvenation. At least 14 days before the procedure, you should not use cosmetics with fruit acids, retinol, mechanical peelings, sunbathe in the sun, in a solarium or use self-tanners.
Recommendations after the procedure
After the treatment you should not sunbathe for at least 2 weeks. In the summer, a cream with a high UV filter must be applied to the treated area. This is especially important for dark skin, which tends to develop discoloration.
Effects of the treatment
Thanks to laser photorejuvenation of the skin, you can get excellent results after just one treatment, although in most cases it is recommended to perform a series of treatments. Photorejuvenation makes wrinkles and other skin imperfections significantly decrease. The skin is rejuvenated and revitalized, regains its radiant and attractive appearance. The effects of the treatment are long-term. Photorejuvenation allows you to improve skin density and visibly rejuvenate it. Then, the production of collagen is activated, which allows for thickening and firming of the skin. With age, the amount of collagen decreases, so increasing its production is crucial to regaining a radiant, youthful appearance.
