Who is the face volumetry treatment for?

Volumetry is performed primarily for people who are dissatisfied with their oval and face contour in order to:

• correct the oval of the face
• correct the jaw line
• enhance and model the cheeks
• model the beard
• reduce facial asymmetry
• restore tissue defects

 

Course of facial volume procedure

Before the procedure Face volumetry is always preceded by a medical consultation. The doctor excludes possible contraindications to the procedure and talks with the patient about the effects he would like to get. Then selects the preparation and determines the method of its administration (injection technique). If no contraindications are found during the medical interview, the facial volumetry is performed during the same visit. Course of treatment The volumetry begins with a thorough cleansing and disinfection of the face. Then the doctor inserts a special cannula under the skin, through which he administers a thick, cross-linked hyaluronic acid. It creates a kind of rack that lifts the tissues and allows them to model accordingly. To evenly distribute the preparation, the doctor then performs a gentle massage. This procedure is not particularly painful. However, the doctor may use an anaesthetic cream at your request. The effect of facial volumetry is visible almost immediately and lasts from 9 to 18 months. The duration of the procedure varies depending on the individual predisposition of the patient, but a single session usually lasts no more than 30 minutes.  

Face volumetry effect

Volume reverses signs of skin aging, resulting from the gradual loss of hyaluronic acid, allows you to give the face the desired shape and reduce possible asymmetries. Thanks to the hygroscopic properties of hyaluronic acid, the face also gets adequate hydration – and all this in a minimally invasive way, without surgical intervention. The effects are visible immediately after the procedure, but you should wait about 2 weeks for the full result – this is how long it takes to integrate hyaluronic acid into the tissue.  

Recommendations after facial volumetry surgery

Volumetric procedures rarely cause side effects, but they can occur. Swelling and redness of the face may persist for several days after volumetry. Sometimes there are also small bruises in some places after punctures. During this time, the patient should not use the pool, sauna, solarium, expose the face to the sun or perform heavy physical work. Apart from these minor limitations, the volumetry does not involve any recovery. Immediately after the procedure, the patient can return to daily activities.
